Default Homescreen Navigation Startup Behavior

So ya know how when you go to the application screen you can start navigating with the trackpad right away? Well in the themes I'm making, that works, but it doesn't work that way on my homescreens. On my homescreens I have to first highlight an icon by touchscreen, then I'm able to navigate with the trackpad. How can I get my homescreens to behave like my application screens so an icon is already lit up and ready to navigate with the trackpad?

Follow up post here. I'm stuck on the clock when I enter the theme. If I press the trackpad first thing it brings up the clock. All I can do is exit. I still can't move around after that without touching any one of the icons on the touchscreen. Thoughts?

Oh, and I did create a real simple screen with just four zen icons and let Theme Builder make the default navigation itself. That works. The first icon I made is highlighted as I enter the theme. Just wish I knew how to manually do this with my more complex designs.

Ooohkay. Follow up. I made a new theme and started with the automated default nav links, then added some manually. I did work it differently than what I've done previously. I used the "Extras Focus Today" feature instead of the regular Today Items. Worked out fine except for the landscape screen. I have the same ole issue with that. I'm guessing this chalks it up to buggy beta software from Theme Builder 6.0 - can't wait for an update to that!

From what I can gather on then net this is kinda virgin territory all-around, so I get the lack of responses here. Just documenting for down the road...
