Homescreen & Application menu help!!

Hi everyone I got a quick question.

After I make my theme and I have my homescreen icons all set up I wanna put an icon from the application menu to the ones that appear on the homescreen the thing is when I put it there is doesnt appear on the home screen icons so I wanna know what am I doing wrong please help!!

Can you give a little more detail? Do you want the homescreen buttons to follow the device application order?
