Default Hiding Status Text with Hidden Dock

Hi! I've created a hidden dock by following two tutorials. When SPACE is pressed, it shows, and ESCAPE hides it.

The problem is that you are still able to scroll through the icons even when they are not visible, meaning, the status text shows when scrolling. Is there a way to disable scrolling through icons when the dock is hidden or a way to hide the status text WITH the hidden dock?

Thank you very much!

The hidden dock is just sliding off the screen and not actually going away therefore showing the app name while scrolling.

I believe the only way is to create a hidden dock with no animation

2 options.. Make a bouncy dock that shows on focus of one of your buttons or you have to hide your icons instead of moving them. Or I guess a third option would be to move/hide your status text along with your dock?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I figured it out and both of you were correct, it was just sliding off and not actually hiding. So I used the method which involved two invisible buttons which hide and show the dock.
