The little BlackBerry symbol indicates that you are logged into BIS and the only way to remove it would be to have a theme made that specifically does not display this symbol.

I am not sure if this can be done without also removing the 3G / EDGE symbols too.

You had best ask a theme developer to help you out.

You should be able to hide that element.

The tag you're looking for is #wifi_bullets

in your SVG code... at the bottom (above the </svg>)
add:

<set xlink:href="#wifi_bullets" attributeName="display" to="none" begin="0"/>

I couldn't agree more. I've not had any reason (yet) to hide any elements, but I do appreciate StaticFX dropping in with the quick and easy answer.

I tend to hide the default wifi and replace it with my own... gives a nice custom touch

Default BIS Bullets

Is there a different tag for the BIS bullets like #BIS_bullets?

Been doing a bunch of poking around the net for SVG tips...found StaticFX everywhere!
