hidden today is not working...

Hidden today is not working at all within my theme.

All of the icons within the theme are set to 'use device application order' within composer. The hidden today is checked under the extras panel in theme builder and navigation set accordingly. I have tried entering in calendar dates and it still does not show.

I created a basic theme with only one icon (calendar) within theme builder and enabled the hidden today. That worked, why wont it work when the icons are set in composer?

Is it a bug within composer or theme builder 6.0 beta 2 not allowing hidden today's from icons created outside theme builder?

This is boggling my mind!? Any advice or suggestions would be grateful at this point.

It was driving me mad too...I've confirmed with a few other devs that hidden today just ain't working in this release.

That is not good news...however it is a beta...thanks for the reply. If n e one else has found a work around please let us know. I found a post by StaticFX on the blackberry support forums which was posted jan 29 about the same issue aswell. There was a reply stating that they did not have the same issue however it is not certain which release they were talking about. I pm'd staticfx for furthur information none the less. Hopefully he can shed some light on the issue even more so.

Today items *will* show up if you add them as straight Today items in TB6. I prefer the Hidden Today approach, as I aim for a balance between practicality and minimalism in my themes.

So far I haven't seen a work-around. And I've tried lots of tricks. Ugh.

Yea I figured that out before posting this thread....wish they release Beta 3 or a final version with some bug fixes soon!

I found a thread with someone suggesting to use some svg coding to display the hidden today but haven't tried it yet. I will post the link shortly...

Did you create the icon in composer or theme builder?

lets assume you created it within composer then I would need to use something like this?

I created it with theme builder.


I have a situation where I need to "hide" the hidden today in this theme, otherwise I wouldnt even need to know the name of the todaytext.


It seemed to work for me right out of the box.( ie: I didnt do anything special)

I'm no expert on TB6 as I'm still using a 9630 running OS5 and thus don't have a way to play with OS6 themes, but from what I've seen hidden today works with app buttons placed via TB, but does not work with custom messages/calendar app buttons created in Composer.

That would make sence, as I add em in TB.
