Hidden today background on a Storm

So thanks to you people in this forum I know how to make a hidden background to go with my hidden today, and it works just fine for the most part. Except for one thing.

Since I'm on a Storm there is no "next" application - you can jump anywhere on the screen just by touching it. So I set my calendar and message buttons to show the background and every other button in my svg to hide the background. All that works fine. But I also have a weather icon. And that's not in my svg, it's created in TB (so it'll have the icon text under it.) So if I focus on my calendar or messages and then focus on the weather, the background pops up as it should but then just stays there after the text fades out.
Not a huge deal, really. But it's kinda annoying.

Anybody got an idea for a work around?

Looks like that would be a "No."

I guess I'll just have to live with it.
