Default Hidden Today Background Question

I've created a hidden today background that works great but has one flaw. When I navigate to the actual entries within the hidden today, my background dissapears (background is an animation layer in composer).

I'm sure there is probably an easy way to fix this, but I haven't figured it out. Can someone help me fix this problem?

how are you turning the background on and off? On when you get to the calendar and email icons and off when you focus on the "surrounding icons"?

Yes. The today background is a composer animation that turns on upon focus in, and off upon focus out. I assume when I focus onto the calendar/messages entries, it treats it as if I am focusing off the button, which I am.

Well that is the problem. You need to change it to hide upon focus in of one of the surrounding icons. That why it would stay on until you move off the hidden today app.

ok, i see what you're sayin. thanks.

So what would the coding or setup for this look like? The only way i know to set it up is to make it appear on focus in and hide on focus out

^^nevermind. I figured it out. Not sure if there is an easier/cleaner way to do it, but I just went back into composer, set the icons that would be having a today screen to show animation on focus in and left the focus out blank. Then i went to every other icon i had and set the today animation to hide upon focus in. Works perfectly.

thanks again for pointing me in the right direction imaBold1
