You need to use composer. You also need to make the icons the app order and it will give you the blue icons in composer. It will have that focus with it.

Really easy, but time consuming.

Layer your focus icon between your dock and your app icon. Change the focus icon to an animation. Now head into timeline actions and this where the work comes in.

First hide your focus icon at frame 1.
Now show icon on button focus in and hide icon on button focus out.

That's really all there is to it.

I don't have composer in front of me and I'm typing this out on my phones so sorry for the lack of detail. There is a how-to in these forums also.

Good luck!

thanks to the 2 of you.

i was already using composer and even finished the dock, i just didnt find that timeline where to hide the frames etc. but actually i didnt know i had to make it an animation, so i guess that was the main problem.

i'll try that out, thanks again, much appreciated.

Right click on the focus icon and the option to make it an animation is there.
