Default Help launching the text messages app

Hello everyone,

I'm creating a theme for a BlackBerry Torch using the OS6, using Composer Version 6 Beta.

When I put a button and tell it to launch the BlackBerry application SMS, it works just fine with OS5 but not OS6.

The line I have is this:
loadScene xlink:href="x-exec://net_rim_bb_messaging_app.sms"
As it doesn't work, I think it must be what it tries to launch that is not a recognised app in OS6 but no way of finding the app list on the web for OS6.

Do you have any ideas of what to launch for the text messages app?

Thanks

Theme Builder is still in Beta, hopefully most of the bugs will be fixed in a new release.

that is correct for OS5

BUT!!! OS6 does not have sms... it has textmessages (which is really sms & mms)

so.. you would use this:

<loadScene xlink:href="x-exec://net_rim_bb_messaging_app.sms_and_mms" begin="Theme_Button_1.activate"/>

best way to check/do this...
Open Composer for TB6 - start a torch theme... add the theme button (set it to the app you want)
then do FILE > VIEW SVG and look for the loadscene

Thanks guys,
I'll wait until the new release comes out then and I may just put another icon in the mean time.

... ahh yes, they are there in Composer, but - check in TB. there is no choice for sms or mms in the icons. Thats how I caught that.

Many Thanks StaticFX, just tried and looks as its working just fine with sms_and_mms
There must be something for just sms as in TB in the app list there's "Text Messages" so maybe they've just renamed it to text_messages (which I'm gonna try in a sec)

Great, I tried on my Torch simulator but like the browser, I got an error and closed itself.

Now I just have to manage my SVG files so it will work nicely in both portrait and landscape and it will be done, found the lines to add at the end of both SVG so it will only display the layers in either portrait or landscape, so that's good.

Just in case, do you know if there's a way to put pages in the application screen (like the iPhone)?? I haven't had a real look yet but thought I'll ask.

Thanks

you cannot change the app screen at all (except the wallpaper, banner, and icons)
