Default fontcollection and themes

I made a theme today (first time) and one thing I noticed is that where on the stock OS6 theme my font collection font is there, but now after I install mine it shows a default font. What did, or what can I do so I can use the font from fontcollection again? I have seen in the theme forum that some themes are dev directed. So I guess I don't know exactly what I did that caused this to happen. Thank you in advance.

After upgrading to OS 6.0.0.431 on my Verizon Bold 9650, I have the same problem with OS 6 and fontcollection 2.0. The problem is not related to custom themes as I encountered the problem with the default Verizon theme after upgrading to OS 6 a few days ago.

I believe that fontcollection 2.0 is trying to do its job. Any TrueType font installed by fontcollection is working in the OS 6 BB menus, BB dialogs, BBM app, text messaging app and many 3rd party apps (BerryWeather, PodTrapper and BBNotePad to name a few) that obey phone's "font family" setting. The only difference between OS 5 and OS 6 operation is that the RIM BB Browser and RIM e-mail apps are selective in obeying the "font family" setting.

If you select a built-in font, the OS 6 browser and e-mail apps will use it just as on OS 5. If you use a TrueType font installed by fontcollection, these OS 6 apps will use a default font (looks like BB Alpha Sans to me.)

I'll guess that the problem in on RIM's side. I'll try e-mailing Almoko support and see what happens.

This has happened to my as well. I think it maybe a bug withing TB6. I have tried changing the font for messages within TB6 and when i install a finished theme it looks all messed up. I try setting the font to default and then installing the theme and still comes up messed up. A battery doesn't fix this either. I have also noticed that changing fonts or highlights inside of the messages list also changes the browser and renders the font black and sometimes hard to read:
