Default today text disappears during navigation

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here - i'm just not sure what...

I've made themes custom banners and icons in composer and imported them into TB. I add my Today items and set up my navigation - but with the past couple of themes I've tried to make - the today text get "wiped away" (for lack of a better description) as I navigate through the today items. Sometimes the text comes back - but whenever I navigate to the today area again - it gets wiped out again.

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated

Thanks

C'mon - I can't be the only one who's encountered this - can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?? I'm pretty new at this, so I imagine its something pretty simple....

Gladly - see attached. I tried putting both the banner elements (Rectangle1 and 2) and the icons in the same layer and tried putting the icons in one layer and rectangles in another. Both ways ended up with the same result. thanks for taking a look a this - any insight is truly appreciated.

Sorry it took me so long to respond back. It appears from the theme forums that you may have figured this out already; correct?

Not really - I just did things a little different. It seems like I only have this problem when I add homescreen banners in the SVG with my icons. So this time I added the only icons to the svg and created the banner as a png and added it in TB. I should be able to do this in composer though, right?

Tscalia2--First of all, let me say, I am not a pro in theme-building. I learned all that I know from bbthemelab and the forums here at crackberry.

I am not sure what is causing your issues, but I have attached my personal composer and svg files of a theme I am currently using. I have a hidden calendar, top and bottom bnrs, icons and a hidden dock--all on the same layer and it works. Of course, I may not understand exactly what you are asking, but I am willing to help you, if I can.

Take a look at it--compare it to your files and see if you can find an answer. Hopefully, it will help.

Thanks so much I'll take a look at your code and see if I can figure out what went wrong in mine.

Thanks again!
