Default Creating shortcut to application list?

Forum search and Google university didn't give me an answer - is there an icon/shortcut that can be used to go to the application list from the homescreen/touchscreen on OS6? Some minimal themes such as Excite (shout out...nice theme and happy purchase) have a dedicated icon on the homescreen. I'd like to make that a touch-screen link to the overall apps list...can someone explain how I can do that without theme builder? I know I can just push the blackberry app hard button...but would prefer the touch interface if possible.
