Blackberry app wprld screenshots

Hi I went looking around to find out what size was needed for the blackberry appworld icon and screenshots and I found in the Blackberry site FAQ that the app world icon should be "480x480, 300dpi, RGB file in PNG format" and it will be resized as necessary for app world pages. As far as the app/theme screenshots, whats the ideal size? Because looking at various apps and themes they seem to be in various sizes and shapes (some square, some wider then tall, some taller then wide). thx.

I suppose it depends on the device where the screenshot is made from.

exactly....
torch storm... 360x480 (dpi doesnt matter..no less than 72 though)
and 480x360 for landscape mode...
bold... 480x360... etc

but as far as the 480x480 at 300dpi... I only ever do 96 dpi and have not had any complaints. 300dpi is really only needed if its going to be printed

Ok cool thx. So if i am understanding you guys right, then the screenshots dont all have to be 480 X 480, if its taken from a model with a screen size of 480X320, then I can upload that screenshot along with my theme submission and the app reviewers will shrink/crop as needed? I guess as long as neither my width nor height exceeds 480 pixels then I should be good?

screens shots SHOULD be in the device size... they wont crop or touch those at all.. the 480x480 is for display in a app world when the user is looking at the list of themes (they shrink it for an icon).. then shows it bigger when viewing the product.

so, yes.. screenshot.. save..upload!
FYI.. if its your first admission, be prepared.. it can take a good week or more before its approved. They have ONE person who approves ALL themes. (very nice though!)
