Default BB OS Upgrades: My DevNightmare...

Hello all!

As a theme developer I constantly feel like I am having to backfill my themes as new devices and operating systems launch.

I strive to support the latest possible operating system available for any particular device. I believe this system allows for the best possible product to be delivered to the greatest amount of end users. But sometimes its hard to keep up!

We started off building for the 4.5/4.6 OS's (pre 5.0). Then when 5.0 launched, (and a new Theme builder was released) we started re-exporting for the 5.0. Now it seems like we will need to go back and do it all over again for the 6.0 OS.

If you have ever tried to install a 4.6 theme on a 5.0 OS device, you'll notice that it's essentially half of a theme. The homescreen looks fine, but the rest of the phone is "unthemed." This is why we build for the latest OS.

Thanks for reading!
