Sorry. You lost me at Hello Kitty.

Oh, what the heck. I'll try to help, anyway...

I'm not sure how far you have gotten in your understanding of the battery meter. It's a composite image. The requirements for this composite image are posted in one of the .pdf files in your "docs" folder for Theme Studio. (I can't get my hands on it now.)

Does that help?

Update: I confirmed the composite image requirements for the battery meter. (See Theme_Builder_User_Guide.pdf in the aforementioned folder location.)

You need 24 component images. Below is quoted from the guide:

This composite image must include two rows of 12 equal-sized images. The composite image must include the following component images:
• First row: 11 images that represent the battery power level from 0% to 100% from left to right in 10% increments, and one image for unknown battery status.
• Second row: 11 images that represent the battery charging from 0% to 100% from left to right in 10% increments, and one image for unknown battery status.

Of course refer to images provided with Theme Studio and those others have shared online, including in this forum for examples.

Using Gimp, maybe you want a Hello Kitty face which changes color as the battery discharges. You could indicate the device is charging by using a distinctive color for the bow (black?) for all of the bottom component images.

Hope this helps.
