Default Banner Text cutoff

I have been experiencing this for quite some time now. I did manage to fix it once it a previous theme i developed but do not remember how I did it. I am currently working on another theme and I am experiencing the same issue and am really at a loss how to fix it.

Essentially EVERY application banner text is cut off...The only way I can fit it within the screen is by changing the font size on the device to 6..which makes everything else smaller aswell. Is this a theme builder/compiling issue? I thought it might be the ribbon issue but I download a theme by elecite to check to see if it had the same issue and sure enough it doesnt. So I don't think its the ribbon cod file issue. I am currently running 6.0.666 on a 9700 and have experienced this issue with every os6 that i can think of.

Insight would be greatly appreciated because I cant stand to look at that cut off text anymore!!

if memory serves... do not touch the app banner settings at all. dont change the meters, fonts, anything.

try resetting them all to default and see what it does

thanks for the reply.

The odd thing is I have created other themes where I have changed the time font to bb sans condensed and all the font sizes on the homescreen/app banners and I did not experience this issue. I am going to go through all the svg files for the previous theme and compare any banner settings to the current theme. I will also check the png images within the source folders.

As a last resort I will reset everything but based on experience I don't think that is the issue.

Again thanks for the reply

ok went through the svg and the png...nothing seemed to work. Even tried copying the working banner.svg and .pme to the new theme and no success...Just a note it almost seems the working theme banner text is smaller. All the font-size in the svgs are the same though.....Will reset everything in themebuilder and go from there. Once reset I will confirm if the issue was fixed then I will make changes 1 by 1 to confirm where it glitches....This is very annoying and I cant believe RIM released this software like this!

so, in the end I didn't have time to go 1 by 1. Instead i started a new theme builder file and went from scratch. I did not touch any of the banner settings, exported and made my changes i originally wanted through the svg files. Everythign is working fine now and banner cut off is resolved. Thanks for your input StaticFX.

I've noticed that once you've changed whatever it is that has caused the banner cut off, even if you reset everything to default, the issue is still there, so you're forced to start the theme from scratch.
