Default Alarm icon cut off after moving home screen banner icons around

I'm almost done building my very first theme and the building experience has been rather wonderful.

Now I'm managed to fit all the icons in the semi-transparent banner on the home screen (since I couldn't get it to allow me to increase the height down-wards), however now the alarm icon gets cut off on the right and bottom no matter where I put it within the banner. I've tried resetting it to back to default, however it keeps getting cut off. You can see a screen capture of it below (where the alarm icon is below where it says "Rogers"). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't leave it on default when you move it, go and manually select the exact clock you want I think they have 11x11 and 13x13 in the samples, you also have to manually select the battery meter on the homescreen if you decide to move that because it won't show the charging bolt then.. Hope that helps

You might also want to check that you haven't inadvertently changed the size of the alarm icon on the display, i.e. the size of the green box you can move around to position it?

Good call on the batt meter, as it indeed wasn't showing that it was charging until I changed it to another one. Changing the clock however didn't help in respect to the alarm. Changing the alarm icon to the 13x13 one seems to have fixed it though. Definitely appreciate the advice, amigo :-)

I'm assuming you're referring to the blue box. I'm unable to resize it, but I do see your point that that's likely what's causing it. Do you know how to resize it?

That's strange that you can't resize it, the only limitation I know is needing to have the 'reposition objects' button enabled. You might also want to try going to where the alarm icon graphic can be changed and right clicking the text then selecting 'reset to default' to see if that helps?

I don't see a "reposition objects" button. When I searched TB's help file for that, it said that click "To reposition objects on the Home screen, click Turn On/Off Bounding Boxes and drag the items to the position that you want." That makes no sense, as I'm able to reposition objects whether or not that button is clicked in. Is there a button I'm not seeing that you're referring to? :-/

I already tried resetting to default with no success.

Agreed, I see no way to resize it. But one of the other tips worked for me. I simply went and grabbed another alarm indicator. It was even bigger (21x21) than the default (15x15) and came out perfectly. They key seems to be to just manually replace the default with another (even if it's the same one) and TB will get the size right.

I didn't see a bigger one from the ones included, however the slightly smaller one worked for me. I'm pretty sure I tried replacing it with the same one, and that didn't work for me :-/

Hmm. I was able to fix the alarm icon using the tip in this thread - thanks guys!

I had been using a smaller icon (13x13) as a workaround. Never thought of just selecting the same size as default.

I tried the same 'trick' with the battery meter, but I'm still not getting a charging icon except within applications (i.e. not on home screen or app screen). Has anyone else pulled this off? I chose the 39x19 battery meter from the stock theme folder.

That is one of the main issues in all my themes. Makes me feel like a n00b.

The button I was referring to is 'Reposition Banner Items' (wasn't at my PC when I wrote the post!). I'm still using the 5.0 theme builder, perhaps it has changed in 6.0?

Yup, it's different in TB6. Gone is the Reposition Banner Items button. Now you can show or hide bounding boxes. And elements are movable by default.

The 33x16 (aka 396x32) battery meter seems to work for me for when it's charging.

I'm gonna give the original icon trick another go since it worked for you :-D

I take it back; it turns out you're absolutely right, as I tried replacing the smaller one with the original, and that works fine as well. The smaller one seems to match my new battery indicator better though so I'm sticking with that, but I thought I'd give credit where it's due :-)
