2 theme questions for the theme gurus

I currently use an 8900 wiht OS5. Thats just FYI in case thats important in some way.

1) Can a device running OS5 use a theme for OS4? Since I know someone will ask, it's mostly because of transitions. Can't stand em. I know, they are the new hotness and theme makers love em, but I'd rather it be super snappy.

2) What devices can run the same themes? For instance, can my 8900 run themes for the 9000 or 9700?

ok, I lied, one more question. Where do i find the best tutorials for writing svg?

1) OS5 can run OS4 themes usually

2) on OS5 ONLY, 8900, 9630 and 9700 share the same themes,
storm 1 and 2 share the same themes
