2 Problems

I hate making multiple posts, but I have 2 issues with the theme I'm working on.

1. I want to use GIMP instead of photoshop to alter my icons and such. I set my preferences to use it as the default for my images, but this image pops up when I try:error message.jpg

2. I figured out how to add 3rd-party app icons into my theme (custom, curve 8530). What I can't figure out is how to create separate images for them. I'm creating 3, opera, msn and facebook. I found a logo for msn that i'd like to use for the msn app icon, but when I went to change the blackberry logo to msn, it made all 3 of my 3rd party icons to msn.

Can anyone help me with these problems?

Answer for part one follow the directory and manually open the icon through Gimp -open folder.
Part two - can't help you with this one don't know how or if its even possible
