    Default Signal meter questions

I am making my own signal, battery, etc. meters and I have some questions that I can't seem to find answers to, and testing with the simulators with Theme Builder are giving me ambiguous results.
So what I am left with is....

The SOS indicator for the Signal Meter. Is it used only while roaming or are there other conditions where this indication is used? In essence, is the Roaming triangle (on the 9700) redundant?

The "X" indicator. What kind of situation is this indication used in?

The "?" indication on the battery meter. I find it rather appropriate since I have no clue what it is there for!

I tried searching the online manuals, but I found the specifics to be a bit on the lacking side.

    Thanks!
