Hidden Today Calendar not updating
I have searched the boards and can't seem to find the answer to my particular problem...
I have a theme with a hidden today area and the events in the calendar do not seem to be updating. You add or remove an entry in the calendar and it does not update in the the hidden today area. The messages seem to be updating fine just not the calendar entries.
I built the theme for a 9550 running OS 5.0.0.428, possible OS or TB bug??
If I reset the device the calendar area will update.
Thanks in advance for your help. - 12-30-2009, 02:44 PM #2
I do not have any problem with it updating in my 9700 so maybe OS related. Instead of resetting the device, you may try switching themes then back. It should also "reset" the theme and allow the calendar entries to show. "MAY" also work to just reset the Theme Layout.
Good luck. - 01-28-2010, 07:30 AM #3
i'm also seem to be having this issue(according to some of my customers). i had assumed that the first complaint i heard, that the person was just being impatient, but now i've heard the same complaint again from another person. both people claim they had to reboot the device to get there new calendar entries to show in the hidden today area.
i just wanted to see if anybody was aware of this, and if it's possibly something i'm doing wrong as the theme builder, or if it's out of my hands? My Themes:

There seems to be an issue with TB. I imported the theme i was having issues with into a new theme and the issue has seemed not to affect the new theme.
I went back to the original theme and it still has issues with it.
I hope RIM comes out with a new build of TB soon that fixes some of these problems. - 01-28-2010, 09:43 AM #5
I've had this problem occasionally on several themes on my Bold. Every time this has come up has been cases where my memory is not exactly "fresh and happy". I think it is an OS/low memory issue than a theme issue.
