Help about free themes

ya guys so i was wondering if there was any way at all that you can generate revenue from distributing free themes, and if there is how

You can ask for donations in your post if you are posting them on message boards like CB. All you need to do is set up an account with PayPal. They have a donation feature you can use.

ya but people wont bother donating. theyll just grab the free theme

If you want to put a mandatory price on your free theme then it is no longer free.

^ Hahaha. Maybe you could do what app developers do? Place ads on your themes? I don't think anyone has done that before, but it's definitely possible if you struck up a deal with some company that wants their ads on your theme. Of course, you would need to show them that your themes are selling well.
