Unlocked iPhone not working in TELUS

I purchased an unlocked/Jailbroken iPhone 3G a couple of days ago, I inserted a FIDO sim card, and it did work, so ir is in fact unlocked... Cydia is installed, etc.

Yesterday I bought a TELUS sim card, but it is not working... I don't get any signal...
I checked the phone's compatibility's on Telus website and it says it should work on the network, but it doesn't!
So, what do I need to do?

nevermind guys, I had turned 3G off... Turned it on and it's working!!! Thanks for looking, though
