Maybe a little background might be helpful.
Is there a news story, blog article, etc. that your talking about?
Maybe post a link or something?

...it seems that the news is about some new internet service...not a new phone launch as first expected. :-(

Correct. Don't forget that Telus actually has a lot of other fields and if the links they provide direct you to the telus.com site, it's usually anything but a cellphone. If you're directed to the telusmobility.com site, then it is regarding a phone.

By the way, if you're in the BC/Alberta area, it may be worthwhile to check out the Telus TV service that's supposedly being announced/expanded. Much better video quality than Shaw and it doesn't go down like Bell ExpressVu anytime it gets windy or rains.

I have Telus TV and it is actually very good. No matter what the weather it has never gone down.
There was once an issue with a UFC PPV [not weather related] and before we got the chance to call about it Telus called us to let us know we would not be charged and would get a free one on top of that.

@ blackmarket, Shaw has good picture quality when you're on the digital channels, but if you're on the standard tv stations, it's a lot more blah. That's why I like the all digital services. I used to use Bell ExpressVu (great picture!), but my reception would drop every time it rained. So now I get the best of both worlds!
