Default tour having issues

i got my tour back in july(upgraded from a storm 1) and now the thing is constantly rebooting and dropping calls, i've reloaded the os on it, gone through different versions and finally said the h3ll with it and called telus.

I've got to wait 3 days for a new phone to come in from their warehouse, my only question is will it be a brand new phone or a refurbished one? also will the warranty still expire in july from the original phone i had or will it start again with the new one?

anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Default Most Likely Refurbished

The phone they send back from warranty claims is usually a factory refurbish, any scratched or imperfect pieces are replaced with new ones from the factory so you can't distinguish it from a brand new one.

Since it's refurbished it's certified to be good as new, you won't even notice the difference. This is all speaking from experience.

Pretty sure the warranty period is determined by the date on your contract.
I'd be very very surprised if they extended it every time they gave someone a refurbished phone. People would take advantage of that, and Telus would lose money.

I also had a launch Tour from last July that I finally swapped out for another a few months back due to a bad trackball. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between the one I got and a brand new one. Keep in mind, you won't be getting a new battery or battery door. They'll take it off your old one and put it on your new one. At least that's how it was for me.

There is a 90 day warranty on all refurbs. This ensures there is a little time to test the unit and make sure there are no problems.

Yeah, I noticed the softness of the trackball myself but only when the device is warm... like say if it was constantly used or if the phone was in your pocket. If the device is cold, the ball feels more "gritty".
