    Default Torch OS upgrade?

Bought a Torch 2 weeks ago and it has OS 6.0.0. There are a lot of leaks and non-Telus official versions way ahead of that, but I prefer to stay with Telus-approved versions if possible.

Anyone have any idea when an update will come out? And what version it might be?

    TIA - R.

Only the carrier can answer that. It is up to the individual carrier to decide when an OS is ready for release. BTW - What OS is on your 9800 now? You only listed 6.0.0.??? 6.0.0.450 is the latest leaked OS for the Torch and seems pretty stable.

I know you had mentioned you preferred sticking with official Telus releases, but if you change your mind, both 6.0.0.448 and 6.0.0.450 are pretty good leaks. If you decide to go that route and have never installed a leaked OS, make sure you know what you're doing and if not, please ask and someone will help you with the process.

    Here's a link to assist.

There is a front page post today BlackBerry 302: A complete wipe and clean install of your BlackBerry OS | CrackBerry.com about using BBSAK to install a new OS. I recommend either .448 or .450 as being enough better than .246 to be worthy. Installing an official OS like .337 is also worth some thought, but the other two are even better.

The worst that may happen is you revert back in time. With BBSAK the process is easy. With BB we are not held to our carrier. We have freedom to use our devices in ways that work best for us.
