Telus Releases 7.1... for some devices
It looks like Telus has released 7.1 for the 9900 and 9810 but nothing for the 9860. What's up with that Telus? Show the full touchscreen customers some love too!
I hope they plan on releasing it soon because the 9860 sucks! I don't think 7.1 will save this POC but it can't make it any worse. - 03-12-2012, 12:29 PM #3

Just spoke with Telus and 7.1 has not been released for the 9860 and has not been made available through the DM. The current version is the same one that the phone shipped with:
Package Version: 7.0.0.1346
Consisting of:
Applications: 7.0.0.261
Software Platform: 5.0.0.464
File name: 9860AllLang_PBr7.0.0_rel1346_PL5.0.0.464_A7.0.0.26 1_Telus_Mobility.exe
To make matters worse, Telus doesn't even list the 9860 on their Blackberry Software update page:
http://www.telusmobility.com/en/BC/S...ate-main.shtml
I'm not sure why but Telus does not seem to want to show any love for 9860. Not to single out Telus because it's not just them, a lot of the theme/app developers aren't either. There are considerably more themes/apps available for the full keyboard phones. The BB crowd just doesn't want to fully accept a full touch phone into the fold.
