for a social networking plan on an 8330 that does not have a data plan can you still update things such as bbm 5.0.1.38, facebook, twitter etc. for free?

How exactly do you do this? We were trying to see but were unable to find out how to update the applications.

You can update them from blackberry app world. Does the 8330 have wifi?

No it does not have wifi that is why I asked in the first place. App world does not work.

If it doesn't have wifi the only way you might be able to update the applications is to use telus wap browser and download blackberry app world. The weird thing is that I also have the social plan but I am able to use the telus wap and some other applications without being charged for data
