Roaming Charges Mistakes

I was on a week vacation a few weeks ago.

I was so dumb that I left my BlackBerry on, and incurred almost $2000 unnecessary roaming charges.

Is there a way I can talk with Telus Mobility and to find some ways to reduce the charges?

Anyone have some experiences?

Try to talk to them and get a mutual agreement. I got Bell once to cut my $1000 roaming charge to $250. But still better then nothing. Maybe Telus will be understanding.

If you were near a border, and picking up US signals (ie. Niagara Falls), then they used to split the cost. If you were is the US (or other country) then your were screwed. This info however, is from 6 years ago.

Call them and try.
