Renewing a contract?

Well Telus finally put the Samsung Galaxy S2 on their website with "coming soon". Now my contract expires March 1st this upcoming year which is about 5 months away. I was wondering if I should call Telus and ask them when the SGS2 comes out (release date) and try to negotiate a new plan right now or just wait till its actually released? My storm 9530 is pissing me off and really want to pick up a new phone pretty soon.

You can change your plan anytime you want. Just go in and ask or phone them and they will help. If you wanted a new phone at one of the discounted prices you would have to pay a certain amount for every month existing on your contract.

Since you have the Storm 9530 (and I have done this too), it's $10/month left on your contract. So you would pay $50 + whatever it is to get the 3-year price (or however many years you wanna sign) of the phone you want.
