I need help from the Crackberry Community.
I purchased a Torch from Telus on September 30th and I am having a few problems with it. The screen has developed some play, whether open or closed. The keys, call, menu, back and end, have all developed a loud squeaky noise.
Here is my problem.
I went to see my Telus dealer yesterday, and informed me that they exchange policy is as follows:
They take my Torch and send it back to RIM. 2-3week turnaround. RIM will decide if the phone is DOA and if it is, they will provide new phone. If not, then I retain my old Torch and have to live with the problems. The dealer will provide another phone, Bold, but they will not do a straight exchange for a new unit.
Does this sound right, or is the dealer blowing smoke up my a$$. I thought the 30 day exchange policy was, no questioneds asked, and would be for a full replacement unit.
Can some one please provide some clarity. I do not want to be without my Torch for up to 3 weeks.
