Pearl 9100 on CDMA

Hi, I think I read somewhere that if you get a phone on the new HSPA network you need to change your plan or something? I'm not entirely sure what I remember from what I read.

Anyway, I was looking into upgrading to the Pearl 9100 that just came out and was wondering if I'd have to switch to the HSPA network? or will it still work on the CDMA?

I'm also from Manitoba so I don't even know if we have HSPA coverage here right now. I'm only here for another few weeks and will be going back to Montreal for school, so that may not be a big issue. My biggest issue would be if I had to change my plan. I have a great plan and do not want to change it, ever. lol

I didnt have to change my plan when going from the Pearl Flip 8230 to the Bold 9700. Just told them I want to keep my current plan and everything worked fine.

It will depend on your current plan as to whether you will have to change plans or not. The Pearl 9100 is GSM/HSPA only, meaning it won't work on the CDMA network. Your best bet is to call Telus up and enquire.
