Default International Data?

I`m gonig to be travelling Europe for about a month and I was wondering if ther was some sort ofadd on that you could get ot your plan so that you can use your data internationally. I`ve found previously that finding wifi in Europe can be difficult in some parts (rural) so I would like ot use my phones data over there but at 10$/mb there has to be a cheaper alternative, such as paying some amount so that I am allowed to use it internationally

I`ve seen it on other carriers so I hope that Telus offers it. If someone could tell me how much it is and maybe some of the details of what the add on includes, I would greatly appreciate it!

Question you have ask is, do you need to answer some calls or emails coming through your number?

If yes, then get a roaming pack that covers wherever you are going.

If no, then buy local SIM card when you get there. Unfortunately Europe being so many countries there usually isn't a card that will give you best deal "all around". If I go to 4 countries then I usually buy SIM in 1 or 2 countries where I spend most of my time. Another issues is, most of SIM won't do any data for BIS or BES. Your email or BBM won't work in that case. Another solution is to order one of those multi country SIMs which i've done before - it's cheaper than Telus but more expensive than local SIM. I kinda gave up on it now. I just use as little as possible with roaming pack then pickup local SIM at the same time.

I could probably live without email and bbm for a while, I really want it for facebook and GPS. I guess I better try ot remember how to say the words to buy one in German and French. This should be fun haha

They will understand if you ask "SIM card" in English. You get them at mobile store or little kiosk by bus stops depending on the country. Some countries require your passport information.

I bought one in France this summer and I definitely needed passport. Orange, SFR, Vodafone are some of major ones there.

I think in Germany it was T-mbobile, S-plus and Vodafone. You shouldn't have trouble finding it unless on weekends where many shops close and as a tourist, don't have way to get to shopping malls easily.

If you need BES this is one I used to have www.callineurope.com. 4.50/day blackberry data up to 75mb per month is pretty reasonable. Best package at Telus is $225 for 75MB.

One of best value cards I've bought were in Croatia and Egypt. In Egypt, recharge voucher was $2.... BES included with prepaid data.

Oh no it's all good I can speak French and German just figuring out certain words, I may have to do some research before haha

That 4.50 a day would be great! I could buy about 5 days or so for not too bad of a price. I will for sure look into that.
