Default HSPA Finally Available in Manitoba

The network has been up for a while in the city for out of province users, but as of Feb. 16th the HSPA plans and phones are available in Manitoba, or at least in Winnipeg. From what I've heard they're soft launching and starting a "new network" marketing campaign sometime in March, but for now the new phones are listed on the site for MB users. I'm going to call L+R about switching later on today, I'll update if there are any glitches in the process because everyone knows it wouldn't be Telus if they didn't try to screw me over. Hopefully that won't be the case this time, I read about them offering discounts to current CDMA members looking to upgrade, who knows?

Side note: Hesitant about upgrading to a 9780 though with the stuttering keypad being so prevalent... can't be worse than the replace-me-daily trackball though. Maybe I'll get them to make a note on my file to let me look at a few different units in box to check build location and any immediate defects. Does anyone know if Telus received any Canadian or Hungarian built phones? The Hungarian ones still seem to have the defect, just not nearly as many are faulty units it seems. I've also heard the Canadian made phones were strictly pre-release units?
