Default dropped storm 2 in toillet

lol..yep, early this morning, dropped my storm 2 in the bowl, it was in a outter box case, no water in the back, all came through at the front im assuming and only for mayeb 2 secs. I am wondering if anyone knows what telus will do for me? I am going to try and dry mine out, but I want to avoid any future issues this could bring even if it does work now.

so anyone with experience, let me know what telus did, thanx in advance

Water damage is not covered under warranty. Keep your fingers crossed that the device will work after drying it out.

My original Storm flopped into the can with a couple of um, well you know. (I'd say iphones, but that would be nasty) It was in a BB branded leather case at the time. Only a tiny amount of water got to the phone, but it was enough. I attacked it quickly with a hairdryer on low, packed it in rice, left it in a warm car to bake, yeah, yeah, yeah. All of that was for naught. The Storm died and the Sun never came out. In a minor miracle the battery showed no signs of water damage, so the friendly folks at Big Red quickly found me another. An evening of removing carpware and adding things I use and want and we were good to go.
By the way, I know another guy who dropped his non-BB phone in for a swim. Lesson - don't take your phone to the head with you.

Yeah, you're 100% boned. Unless you bought Asurion insurance with Telus (which only started like 3 months ago), you're SOL and need to get a new phone if it doesn't work.

    Hahaha.

    Sorry, that's funny.

And did you take the SD card - out - of the BB when it was in the rice? Your SD card / slot might have held water being stuck together, and fried.
