Unhappy Does Telus match Corporate Plans?

Right now I'm on a Corporate Plan with Telus which is costing me $85/month. The discount is only really $8 off a month. I want to get a Torch when they're finally released, but Bell is offering better (i.e. cheaper) Corporate Plans. I'm only a year into my contract and I'm not up for renewal until June 2012. Is there even a point to trying to contact Telus to see if they'll match it? I've been with them for 7 years and I'm satisfied with their service...I'm a little nervous about switching to another carrier.

This is apparently what Telus is giving me:

350 Daytime minutes
Unlimited Evenings/Weekends from 6pm
Unlimited Texting
Voicemail 10
500mb data
SPARK Sampler
Free Local Birthday Calls
Canadian LD @ $0.35
Conference Calling
Call Waiting
Outbound Call Display On

Total cost: $84.42

This is what Bell is offering:

250 Daytime minutes w/per second billing
Unlimited incoming minutes
Unlimited Evenings/Weekends from 6pm
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited data
Messege Centre, Call ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Conference Calling, Detailed Billing....blah blah blah

Total cost: $61.02

I always hear Bell has horrible customer service, but I'd be saving $20+/month and getting more for my money. Again...I like Telus and would love to stay with them, but is it worth it to switch?

I missed the part where you were in contract so i wrote the lower paragraph thinking you were out of contract. Your in Contract so you are screwed, and must stay with telus unless you want to sign up for another contract or pay lots of money to cancel. You can try to do what i said and maybe they can match the plan but they can simply say no cause your locked into a contract with them.

When your contracts over call telus and tell them you wanna cancel your contract. They will most likely transfer your to loyalty and retention. There will ask you why you want to cancel and say you have been offered a better deal from bell (you dont need to mention its corporate unless they ask). They will ask you what the details of the plan are and try to match or beat it. See what they offer you, if they simply offer you the same ask for more stuff like long distance or fave 5. If they will not budge give them a call later and speak with someone else. If some reason no one will budge and they are just offering you the same id recommend going with bell. Or if you can always say they are offering you the phone for much cheaper and make up a price, or try saying their offering free activation fees. Try to get the most of of them.

Bell may offer you credits that would offset a Telus cancellation fee - If Bell does offer this you may be able to use this as leverage to stay with Telus.
