Broken Storm 2 to Bold 9780!!

Recently I dropped my Storm 2 and the screen broke . I went to Telus and was told that repairs can cost upto $250 - $300 . I am in a three year contract, and still have about 2 years left. I am planning on buying a bold 9780 non - contract price and switch out my storm 2.

My question is that the Storm 2 is a cdma phone while the bold 9780 is a hspa phone. Will i be able to switch with no problems?

I switched from CDMA to HSPA and everything transfered over fine except my unlimited data, which went to 500mb/month. Also, I get charged for texting in the US, and I get charged $1.45 each time someone calls me when I'm in the US, even though I don't answer. When I was on CDMA that was all free.

Wow even when you dont pick up you charged . Thanks for answering my question. I only have 500mb of data so I think I should be fine then.
