From what I've heard, the Storm3 is still coming. But that's entirely unofficial and I have no concrete info to back it up. But I do respect the person I got the info from and I'm still expecting a Storm3 at the end of the year.

I think a big part of the reason we haven't heard much is because the Storm form factor has already been around a bit, so there isn't as much hype over it anymore. The slider and clam-shell are entirely new devices though and they've gotten a lot more screen time as a result. And if what we're hearing is correct, you can probably expect all of the devices you mentioned well in advance of the Storm3 (e.g. this month, this summer and this fall). Storm3 talk may pick up later in the summer, or we may not see much until just before it gets released.

Now that I don't know. My guess is Rogers will get the Bold 9800 slider, but I don't know if it will be a Rogers exclusive, or if Telus and Bell will get kicks at it as well (possibly after a delay).

Given that Telus and Bell have both networks, they may end up with the best selection, at least for the time being. And from what I have been hearing, Telus and Bell aren't finished with CDMA yet. So its hard to say just what impact this will have on selection with the HSPA compatible devices.

Does anybody know what US carriers are getting this phone? I have not heard any rumors about possible US carriers or a possible release date.

From what I've heard, AT&T will be getting it. Or at least according to the person I spoke to at WES, AT&T will have a touchscreen BlackBerry before the end of the year, and well, the 9800 slider makes the most sense.

Agreed! Btw, not sure if you saw, but there are other reports coming in now that the slider does indeed seem to be going to AT&T. Supposedly in field testing at AT&T should be starting this week or next (according to Twitter reports).

Don't believe the pics you see until its announced. When the storm 1 and the storm 2 came around with leaked photos both had pictures of them running on 3G bands for Rogers.. and Rogers never got that phone in the end.

I think that Telus will get the slider, along with Rogers and Bell, just like the 9700. I doubt it will be locked down to any one service provider.

If and when S3 comes out, I can smell a Telus exclusive for 3-6 months though.....

Smile Mabey June

Ive heard rumor and seen posted on the internet that RIM is going to announce the 9800 on June 16th the same time they officially anounce OS 6 for the BB. Not sure if this is reliable though I hope so.
