Default Alot of questions guys! help please :)

ok guys, i have a few questions that hopefully you guys can help me out with.
first off, i have a blackberry curve 8330 on the telus network.
i'd like to buy an unlocked 9700 off kijiji.
what are the steps to ensure that i can get a working sim from telus running?
i was just reading a thread that said a person bought an unlocked 9700, and then when he popped in the telus sim it did not work and they said it was an incorrect imei.
please guide me in the right directions guys
please and thanks in advance ! <3

If its unlocked it should be fine. My sister's husband took my old 9700 and just popped a sim in and it worked. You just got to make sure the sims associated with your account and not someone elses. Buy a new one for 10 and it should be fine.

you just have to make sure that its not stolen and there's no delinquency on the account it;s currently associated with. I think youre better off finding a branded phone so you can call that company and see if there are any problems with the phone. IE reported stolen, locked serial number. You can unlock any 9700 and bring it over to telus.

if its unlocked its good to go. If a friend has a telus sim card pop it in the phone and it should work.

You don't even have to tell Telus the IMEI, just put a sim on your account.
