Default 8530 Price is Up!
What's going on here? The 8530 has gone from $24.99 to $149.99 on a 3-year contract with Telus, same price as the Bold 9700.

I wonder if it's to help people decide to hop on the new network?

Wouldn't surprise me, particularly if they're trying to unload any remaining 8330's.

Right now the 9700 is on sale for $149 on a 3 year where it is regular $349 on a 3 year.
The $24 Promo price for the Curve 8530 was only until March 1st.

The 8530 is still $24.99 on a 3-year term.

They just changed it again.
The previous promo was only until March 1st. Then it went up to 149.99 and now is back to 24.99...
The fine print says...

‡ Available until March 1, 2010, for clients who activate or renew on a 3 year term with a Smartphone voice and data rate plan of $50 or greater, or on a BlackBerry Social or BlackBerry Email & IM rate plan. TELUS reserves the right to modify eligible rate plans with this offer at any time without advance notice.

So someone messed something up there seeing as it is March 7...
