Default 8350i to 9900-9860 migration

Ok so I'm waiting for next week to try out the 9900 and 9860 and have a feel of which one I like best so that I can upgrade. Currently I have an 8350i (mike) so I will need to change my sim car as well.
My question is how do I transfer all my contacts from my old sim to the new one? Can it be done through desktop manager or is that something only telus can do? I'm posting here because I am with telus (mike) and will stay with telus just changing to the hspa network.

I've done ton of migrations.

Copy all contacts from SIM to device: assuming contacs are saved on the Mike SIM, then
1) if you are on BIS, use desktop manager to backup from 8350i, restore on the 9900
2) if you are on BES, activate 9900 on your email. Everything will move over.

Telus can't do more than what you can do. I would not bother with dealership as they are clueless when it comes to device specifics. I would not attempt using SIM copier as I haven't had good results between Mike and HSPA cards then reading it.

Before you move over if you have chance you might want to look at phone numbers available on the Mike. There are lot more awesome numbers available on the Mike compared to HSPA which is completely depleted. Only way to get those is by migration.
