Default 4G and LTE coverage questions

I have a couple questions regarding 4G coverage and devices. Right now, Telus has 4G coverage in some areas (urban). On the website, it only lists one device as being 4G capable. Does that mean all other devices aren't capable of 4G speeds? Are there any BlackBerries that are 4G capable? Will the QNX devices be 4G/LTE capable? Thanks

likewise. but if i'm not mistaken. H+ isn't true 4G. isn't it like 3.2 G or something?

The market started calling HSPA+ devices 4G quite a while ago. This has been going on for a while-it's why the OS7 devices are showing up as H+ because there is so much confusion about what truly is 4G.

I'd strongly suggest if you're in a discussion where you're primarily interested in LTE to just say LTE and don't use the marketing terminology of 4G at any point in time. I don't even use 3G anymore because 3G can be CDMA EVDO 1X and it can also mean GSM/HSPA which are two completely different systems and speeds when you get down to it.

So in short, don't believe marketing or what's being advertised. And yeah... currently no LTE BlackBerry's are available-period, let alone being sold by Telus. I will say I'm pretty happy with my 9900 speeds I'm getting out of the HSPA+ network however

Leaked 7.1 firmware with Hotspot sure helps that notion!
