Default OS 6 Coming Soon to Telcel, also SHIELD

Well, mexican carrier Telcel is going to launch OS 6 for the Bold 9700 in this month.

    Matuk.com » BlackBerry 6.0 OS

In this video, Alejandro Macotela, BlackBerry Sales Manager for Telcel introduce the new OS and also says this new version will be available on early January via webkit for all the 9700 users.

Matuk.com » Por si te robaron tu BlackBerry…

In this one, the same person, Alejandro Macotela, introduces the Shield service, the software that will allow blackberry users for FREE to track the device, wipe it and "protect" the device if our blackberry's are stolen or if we lose it in a Bar :P. This service will be available also in early January

Happy New Year! Forgive my bad english

Thanks for the update, but to me, it's uncertain and a rumor until I see it available for download. As for the protection, if the app is removed, the device cannot be tracked.

Cannot agree more, until OS 6 earns the stability award, I'll be doubtful of it ever being stable.

Pretty sure RIM will include password protection in order to delete the app.

OS6 is already stable... if you're running it on a device it was originally designed for

Funny.. I find my leaked versions of os6 way more stable than every version of os5, either leaked or official.

    Os6 rocks!!!
