Default Youtube wont work while on UMA

No matter what I do, I can't get youtube to play videos on my 9700 while on UMA. Videos on youtube play perfectly fine while I'm out on 3G or EDGE but never while I'm on UMA. I get "there has been an error while attempting to play the media"

I have tried to use both the internet browser and hotspot browser, to no avail. This drives me nuts since there's no signal at my office so I'm UMA all day and I use UMA at home since I have a weak signal at home. Any solutions or something I'm doing wrong?

There was just a thread in the 9700 forum about this; it's router-based... kind of :-/ I was in the same situation, and after updating my 9700's OS, deleting / remaking the wifi connection, changing router settings (including the broadcast channel), and several reboots... it now works!

My previous router simply worked.

I have the exact same problem on my 8900, I thought I was doing something wrong, been this way a LONG time now too.

This used to work fine at home hooked to my router, I haven't changed ANY settings, so perhaps one of the later 5.0 OS leaks changed how they stream and require something different.

Apparently it is a router setting issue, just came from a friends house with a different access point and youtube vids work fine on wi-fi.

I guess I'll mess around with my router settings sometime in the near future.

I'm glad to hear other people are having the same issue but, I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the answer... I use multiple different wi-fi connections throughout the day at work and then mine at home and all of them give me the same issue.

I will definitely take a look at these router settings- can anyone post a link to the thread? Thanks!

I'm still trying to figure this issue out.

So far, I have ruled out security types, WMM and UPnP, changes to these do not make it work.

In fact, when I enable WMM I can't make a UMA connection at all.

My next test change will be some channel change tests (as mentioned above).

Youtube on Wi-Fi works everywhere else BUT at my house now.

It's a small issue, but a very annoying one at the same time.

I will continue to work on this as I have more time, but there has to be an answer somewhere, I just have been unable to find it.

Changing channels does not fix it.

That is all...

Anyone else working on this issue?

Switched my current modem for my older one, solved the problem, but my older one will not work right with my server, which was the reason for the modem change to begin with.

I have a different one in transit right now that should fix this issue.

Simple answer, this issue IS caused by the networks modem/router/access point, I just don't know what the exact cause is specifically.
