Will unlocked canadian blackberry work with t-mobile?

I have a canadian blackberry 9700 and I'll be spending my summer in the states. So I was wondering if I could use my canadian blackberry (Telus) with t-mobile if I unlock it. Thx.

it will work, but you will only able to use it on EDGE, as the 3G bands are different.
your only issue might be is getting a data plan on pay as you go, as i dont think they would let you fully sign up for monthly plan for 2-4 months.

TMO has Flexpay which is what I use when I am there.

I use a Pearl 9100 3G unlocked from WIND Mobile and get 3G. WIND Mobile and T-Mobile use the same 3G bands. Rogers uses the same 3G bands as AT&T.
