Default Will be travelling to the US.

I am a Canadian Rogers customer but will travelling through the US for 2 weeks. I would like to use data (BBM, email mostly) during my stay. However, Rogers charges way too much for international data and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the T-Mobile flex pay plan is and how much data/minutes it includes. My bb9700 is unlocked - so what is my best option?

I checked into that but it's an extra $15/month and I lose my bonus 150min for voice. Doesn't seem worth it for only 2weeks that I need data.

you should not.. because its related to the data plan.. not the voice.

Yeah that Rogers data option doesn't seem worth it.

You could get Flexpay...I think it's probably around 25-30/month for the data. Maybe 29.99 for 300 min? Something like that.

I am currently on a combined voice/data plan for $50/month so in order to get the new canada/us data plan I need to get a separate voice and data plan which would end up costing me $15 more/month and give me 150min less.

I recently bought a T-mobile sim card $15...and was told by the sales rep to either call or go to any T-mobile store when I'm in the US and have them put me onto pay-as-you-go using my own unlocked Rogers bb...I haven't tried it yet though.

From what I've read it doesn't seem like you can get data with pay-as-you-go only voice. Can anyone confirm?

All I am really wanting is to be able to use BBM and check email maybe occassional web browsing. What is the best option to give me this type of access at the lowest cost?

Hmmm...the guy told me that I would be able to do anything that any other T-mobile pay-as-u-go customer could do and he did mention BBM and email....we shall see

I am doing the same thing, I am leaving for Memphis march 12th.

I am 15 minutes from the border, was planning on going to the T Mobile shop this week.

I'm not worried about bbm or email.

I'd be fine with WAP for Google Maps and Poynt.

Unlocked 9700 on Bell BTW
