Default Will T-mobile work in Jamaica?

I got a ?

I'm going down to Jamaica, I have a curve 8320, with T-mobile service, with the internet/data package.

I'm wondering if I'll be able to use the BBM to message people back in the U.S? will there be a charge? I'm not even sure if my T-mobile will get service down there, or if it will be in roaming, so will BBM cost money to use while in roaming. Otherwise I have to go buy a digicel sim card, and load it with minutes, and have my phone unlocked in order to do that.

I'd rather just be able to use the BBM service if possible, rather than go through the hassle with the digicel.

I travel to Jamaica frequently and your phone will roam to Digicel and yes there will be roaming charges on your BBM. I dont know the cost as I try not to use my phone too much while there. If you want to be free from worry, I'd try to get it unlocked and get a Digicel SIM.

Yea I unlocked it today, did the code and everything that I got from customer service.

Now I just need to get the digicel sim, and add minutes when I get down there.
