Default wifi without data plan

right now im connected to my home wifi network. i try to use my internet, but it asks for a data plan (too expensive for one). i turned off mobile network and it still asks for a data plan. what am i doing wrong?

I've heard that BBs are now being designed so that now you have to get the data plan for it to work. There are ways around it though.

Are you trying to use your native browser? Go into the options in there and set it to "hotspot" in the configuration. This is what you do to make it go over wifi.

^^^^^^^^not cool.

wish we would switch to tiered plans. much more affordable imho, except if you are using roids.

It would be cool if they offered both tier and unlimited. Or at least GF'd the unlimited people in. I wouldn't give mine up. Even with BB, I use a lot and it would end up costing me.

Use the hotspot browser. If you can find a way, download BOLT or Opera Mini. Both those browsers work over WiFi.

Yea you have to change your browser configuration to "HotSpot"

open the browser > menu button > settings / options > and change /i think it's the top line/ to "hot spot" browser
