WIFI Internet help

This might have been mentioned alot lately but I'm frazzled lately and can't find information.


What happened to browsing the internet through wifi????

My daughter has no data but always could just use the school wifi to get on and get what info she needed.

Now it's all gone?????

Is there any settings I can put her on that she might have changed? It keeps going right to some WAP Tmobile page now. She also no longer has the pink ball to signify she is on WIFI connection. It shows a tower thingy. Not the regular tower but one hat is kind of like a triangle and it is white instead of pink.

My phone has the data so I have no idea if they made changes with the whole WIFI can get data thing.

OH.. she also used to just hit the browser button to get on but now a WAP browser icon has show up along side the regular browser icon

Could it be a theme change? I use the Precision T-Mobile theme and I have the pink ball on UMA; my wife uses Precision Silver theme and has a tall pointy radiating antenna on UMA. Both our phones show the "yin/yang" black and white Wi-Fi symbol.

Changing the theme would also affect which icons are shown where on the screen. Maybe the suspected new theme put a WAP or TMo browser icon where the default browser icon used to be.

HMMMM I tried switching her theme around and all showed the Pointy radiating thing. HOWEVER I checked the second box under the TCP settings and the Internet came back.

With the Pointy thng it DOES show the lit up WIFI so I guess she's good.. I just hve no idea why the ink ball disappeared at the same time her internet left
