Default Why is the 9810 so much more expensive at T-Mobile? Anyone had luck at lower price?

I have had T-Mobile for about 10 years now. My contract is about to expire in about 2 months and I really want the 9810. However, why is T-Mobile so expensive? AT&T sells it for $49.99. Granted, T-Mobile is much cheaper plans-wise, but I would assume that after years of lackluster phones, they would be more reasonable on pricing. Instead, they charge $249...

Has anyone tried having the price reduced to something closer to AT&T's? I am debating calling the retention department and seeing if I can get them to lower the price or lose this loyal 10 year customer.

BTW, does anyone have AT&T in San Francisco? I have AT&T through my work blackberry and it seriously has atrocious service. I would never use it for personal.

The Bold 9900 is more expensive than on AT&T as well ad the new curves. Its a bit laughable TBH.

Lower ETF's, monthly rate plans and a focus on Android.. if the ETF's were higher the phones would be cheaper. Blackberry is dying and t-mobile doesnt pump as much energy into it.

If you have an account already with Tmobile it is possible to get the 9810 or the 9900 for $67.99. Thats what was offered to me. I chose the 9810 and couldnt be happier. Just call customer service. And talk to them. If you dont succeed the 1st time, keep calling.

Switch to Value Plan and pay retail or buy off ebay. It's cheaper in the long run than Classic Plans.
